How to read one
EY-GB-0001-00042-Q
- EY — an eBookYou number (never all digits, so never confused with an ISBN)
- GB — the publisher's country
- 0001 — the publisher's block
- 00042 — the book within that block
- Q — a check character (ISO 7064 MOD 37-2) that catches a mistyped character or two swapped ones
An EYSIN is permanent and never reissued. A withdrawn book keeps its number. It is not an ISBN.
